[ARCHIVED] Two suspects charged with felony larceny after items recovered in Forsyth County

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated:  On Tuesday, May 5, 2020 deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Carl Austin Road near Statesville, to file a report about a stolen vehicle.

As the deputies were taking the report, they were told a report had been filed with Statesville Police Department about a week prior because the victim’s truck had been broken into at his place of employment.

The victim reported said some of his personal items, checks, and tools in a tool box in the rear of the truck had been taken.

Detectives were assigned to the case, and they began working to develop leads, and suspects involved. Detectives received information about Lindsay Marie Lambert of Winston-Salem had been arrested on an unrelated charge, however she was in possession of the victim’s stolen checks. While following up on this new information, detectives determined a Jeremy Anthony Mays was known to travel with Lambert.

On Wednesday, May 6, 2020 detectives learned Mays, and Lambert had attempted to cash one of the victim’s checks at the State Employees Credit Union in Winston-Salem.  Mays left the area however, Lambert was arrested and a short time later. After questioning of the suspect, the victim’s truck was located near the bank.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were able to locate three pawnshops in Winston Salem where Jeremy Mays had pawned the victim’s stolen tools. The stolen property was recovered from the pawnshops. The property valued at 1,700.00 dollars, and the truck were returned to the victim.

Detectives then charged Jeremy Anthony Mays and Lindsay Marie Lambert with Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle and Felony Larceny. Lindsay Lambert was served with her arrest warrant while she was confined in the Forsyth County Detention Center.  She received a 10,000.00 dollar secure bond for the charges from Iredell County.

Jeremy Anthony Mays was arrested in Lincoln County on Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was served with the Iredell County arrest warrant in Lincoln County. Mays received a 10,000.00 dollar secured bond. Mays was later transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Criminal history: Reckless Driving to Endanger, Altered Registration Plate, Five Counts of Domestic Violence Protection Order Violation, Misdemeanor Domestic Criminal Trespass.

Winston Salem, North Carolina 27106

10,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.

Criminal history: Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods, Misdemeanor Breaking or Entering, Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Lambert is currently on Probation in Forsyth County for Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance.
