Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on August 4, 2015 Deputy Craig Bess along with Officer D. Hines with North Carolina Probation went to 133 Elmwood Rd Statesville, N.C. 28677 in reference to trying to locate Mr. William Cody Ridenhour. Ridenhour is a registered sex offender and is also on supervised probation. He is registered at 133 Elmwood Road, Statesville, and Deputy Bess had received information that he was no longer living at this address. After interviewing witnesses, and further investigation, Deputy Bess determined that Ridenhour had moved from his registered address and had not notified the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Bess filed charges for failure to notify change of address as a sex offender. Officer Hines also filed charges for a felony probation violation. Deputies of Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Civil Division/Child Support, Deputy Gary Mayhorn and Deputy Marty Lewis located Ridenhour and arrested him on an outstanding nonsupport warrant for failing to pay child support. Ridenhour received multiple secure bonds totaling $40,000.00 for the felony charges and a cash bond totaling $2535.00 for the non-support of children and was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center.
