Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, April 2, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team along with Narcotic Investigators responded to 634 West Bell Street in Statesville after receiving numerous complaints from citizens in the neighborhood about possible drug activity occurring at this location.
Deputies identified D’Anthony Raekwon Davidson, as a resident at this home. Davidson is currently on probation for Felony Carrying a Concealed Gun and Felony Possession of Marijuana.
Deputies spoke with Davidson and discussed why they were there. While searching they located a loaded pistol with an extended magazine, several rounds of ammunition, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia commonly seen with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Since Davidson is a convicted felon, he is prohibited him from having firearms, he was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with; Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale or Deliver Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Davidson was taken before Magistrate M. Nethken who issued a “No Bond”, and deemed him as a threat to society since he is currently out on bond for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
