[ARCHIVED] Suspect vehicle identified in Road Rage Incident

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Sunday, February 23, 2020 at approximately 11:40 am, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a person who had been shot.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of Cornelius Road, where they located the victim, Brian Keith Ludwick of Mooresville. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Upon speaking with witnesses, the deputies learned the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident.

The incident started on the Dead End portion of Fern Hill Road. Both vehicles traveled south on Perth Road to Judas Road. The vehicles ended up stopping in the 700 block of Cornelius Road where the shooting occurred.

Detectives were able to determine after the shooting the Person of Interest’s vehicle traveled back on Judas Road. After turning, it travels north on Perth Road.

The initial vehicle description was a Nissan Sentra style vehicle operated by a White Male who was described as being in his late 20’s to 50’s, short brown hair, with facial hair. He was wearing sunglasses with orange reflective tint and a white shirt.

However, after much investigation. Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives located video footage of the vehicle in question. It appears to be a 2008 or newer model Kia Forte.
