Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, December 27, 2019 a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Unit concerning child pornography.

The reporter said they had knowledge of Jessie Leroy Glass Jr., being in possession of child pornography. The case was assigned to Detective Sgt J. Lowrance with Special Victim’s Unit.  Detective Sgt. Lowrance began this investigation by speaking with several witnesses, along with issuing several search warrants.

Based on the information obtained through the course of the investigation, Detective Lowrance obtained a search warrant for Glass’s residence located at 749 Shiloh Road. On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit Detectives, Patrol Deputies, and Homeland Security Agents executed the search warrant.

During the search detectives seized several electronic devices from inside the residence. A preliminary search of the items seized displayed numerous images, and videos of child pornography.

Jessie Leroy Glass Jr. was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was served with; Six Counts of Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  Jessie Glass Jr., was issued a 100,000.00 dollar secure bond by Magistrate D. Chambers on these charges. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
