Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, February 7, 2020 Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators with assistance from the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team conducted executed a Search Warrant at 118 Damron Lane, Harmony which concluded an investigation into the sell, and distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine in Northern Iredell County.
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators received information about an individual, who they identified as Tyrie Dwayne Blackburn, selling methamphetamine in the Harmony area.
During the investigation, narcotics investigators were able to conduct purchases of methamphetamine directly from Tyrie Blackburn at his residence. During these purchases, Blackburn’s small child was also present.
Investigators also confirmed the presence of a handgun in the home during the purchases. Investigators ran Blackburn through criminal information data systems and discovered he is a convicted felon.
Upon the execution of the search warrant, Investigators located Tyrie Blackburn, Lamanda Nickole Blackburn, and their small child inside the home. Investigators located Crystal Methamphetamine, Ecstasy tablets, Clonazepam, Subutex and a 9mm handgun inside the residence.
Tyrie Blackburn and Lamanda Blackburn were arrested on scene and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where they were charged as follows:
Tyrie Blackburn was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Distribute Crystal Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Magistrate M. Nethken issued a 50,000.00 dollars secured bond for these charges.
Lamanda Nickole Blackburn was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Magistrate D. Sanders issued an 8,000.00 dollars secured bond for these charges.
Narcotics Investigators also contacted the Iredell County Department of Social Services who responded to the scene, and took the minor child into protective custody.
