Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators with assistance from deputies with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team arrested Michael Douglas Styers and charged him with multiple counts of felony drug charges.
Narcotics Investigators received information about Styers possibly distributing Crystal Methamphetamine in the Statesville area of Iredell County. Narcotics Investigators began conducting surveillance operations on Styers at various locations. They verified the initial information about the sale of narcotics, and were eventually able to conduct undercover purchases of Crystal Methamphetamine from Styers.
On Tuesday, January 21, 2020 Narcotics Investigators conducted a search warrant at a hotel in Statesville where they located Styers. During the course of the investigation, Styers was found to be in possession of 48 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine which has a street value of approximately 4,000.00 dollars.
Michael Douglas Styers was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Six Counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Crystal Methamphetamine, Four Counts of Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale of a Controlled Substance, Two Counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance. Magistrate T. Thompson issued Styers a 65,000.00 dollars secured bond.
