Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators, and deputies with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team arrested Rhiannon Nicole Forrest ending an investigation into the distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine in Iredell County.
Narcotics Investigators had received information Rhiannon Forrest was again distributing Crystal Methamphetamine in the community. Investigators were familiar with Forrest from previous investigations into the distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine in 2016.
During those investigations, undercover investigators purchased Crystal Methamphetamine directly from Forrest. This resulted in her being charged, prosecuted and convicted in the Federal Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
Forrest received early release, and returned to Iredell County. While she was on Federal Probation, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators once again began to conduct purchases of Crystal Methamphetamine from her.
Forrest’s Federal Probation Officer was informed of these purchases and Forrest was arrested and charged with three counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Crystal Methamphetamine. Forrest was issued a 60,000.00 dollar secured bond by Magistrate J. Hollar on these charges.
Narcotics Investigators are working alongside Federal Probation Officers and the United States Attorney’s Office in this case.
