Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday, January 7, 2020 while conducting an investigation into a domestic violence incident, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives determined, Timothy Elijah Bryant, a Registered Sex Offender, was residing at 254 Trailway Drive.

Detectives notified Sex Offender Registry Compliance Deputy C. James about this information.  Deputy James learned Bryant was registered at 843 Cedar Grove Church Road in Vale, North Carolina which is in Lincoln County.

Deputy James gathered evidence showing Bryant had been living at 254 Trailway Drive since May 2019. Registered Sex Offenders are required to report in person, and provide written notification of a new address to both the sheriff’s office of the county with whom the offender last registered, and the sheriff’s office of the new county. This change must be done within three business days after the change of address to the Sheriff of the county of last registration and within 10 days after the change of address to the sheriff of the new county.

Deputy James charged Bryant with Felony Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. Bryant was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. He was served with the warrant, then Magistrate D. Chambers issued a 15,000.00 dollars secured bond in this case.
