Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday, November 3, 2019, Deputy B. Best with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 model Ford for a registration violation on Salisbury Highway in Statesville.
After speaking with the driver of the car, Michael Philip Combs, a consent search of the car was conducted. Upon searching the car, deputies located 6.1 grams of black tar heroin, a large amount of small Ziploc baggies, digital scales with heroin residue, cash, and syringes containing heroin.
Combs and his passenger, Christina Ann Dineen, were then taken into custody, and were transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Michael Philip Combs was charged with: Felony Trafficking Heroin by Transport, Felony Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Felony Possession with the Intent to Sell or Deliver Heroin. Magistrate T. Thompson issued Combs 200,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
Christina Ann Dineen was charged with: Felony Possession of Heroin. She received a 7,500.00 dollars secured bond from Magistrate T. Thompson on this charge.
