Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Saturday, October 26, 2019 investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Unit with the assistance of deputies with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team arrested Pedro Luis Luis Gonzalez, and Misty Marie Ross after finding them to be in possession of Heroin during a traffic stop in Statesville.

Narcotics investigators has received information about Gonzalez, and Ross being in Iredell County, and they were in possession of narcotics. Investigators and deputies began actively searching for the couple. Investigators gathered additional information about the vehicle they were in.

The pair were spotted in Statesville. Deputies with the ACE Team conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 1502 East Broad Street. They found the vehicle to be occupied by Gonzalez, and Ross.

While speaking with both suspects, a search of the vehicle was conducted. 28.1 grams of suspected Heroin in multiple bags was located, with an estimated street value of 2,810 dollars.  

Both suspects were arrested on scene. They were taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where they were charged with the following crimes: Pedro Luis Luis Gonzalez, Felony Trafficking Heroin by Transport, Felony Trafficking Heroin by Possession, and Felony Conspiracy to Sell Heroin.

Misty Marie Ross, Felony Trafficking Heroin by Transport, and Felony Conspiracy to Sell Heroin.   

Magistrate J. Hollar issued each suspect a 1,000,000.00 dollar secured bond on their charges.
