[ARCHIVED] Convicted Felon charged with drug crimes after Search Warrant was executed

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, October 25, 2019 investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Unit, along with members of the Criminal Investigation Division conducted a narcotics search warrant at 642 East Broad Street in Statesville.

Narcotics investigators had received information the occupants of the residence were involved in the distribution of “Crack Cocaine”. After investigating the allegations, investigators verified Dwight Antonio Brown was actively involved in the distribution of “Crack” cocaine in the area.

During the investigation Narcotics investigators were able to purchase “Crack” cocaine from Brown at 642 East Broad Street on more than one occasion.

After the search warrant was executed, investigators located “Crack” cocaine inside the residence.

Dwight Antonio Brown was not present at the residence when the search warrant was conducted. Arrest warrants were obtained against Brown for: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling, Vehicle or Place to Sell Controlled Substances.

Deputies attempted to locate Brown throughout the weekend. On Monday, October 29, 2019, Brown was arrested, and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. He was served with the outstanding warrants, then taken before Magistrate S. Watkins who issued Dwight Brown a 30,000.00 dollars secured bond on the charges.
