[ARCHIVED] Five Iredell County men indicted for Federal Drug Trafficking by Federal Grand Jury

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated:  Five suspects involved in drug trafficking have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in Charlotte. The announcement came on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from the off of the United States Attorney Andrew Murray, Western District of North Carolina.

The five suspects, and their charges are:

Charles Mills: Nine Counts of Distribution, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

Dorey Joyner: Five Counts of Distribution and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

Myles Foote: Four Counts of Distribution, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

Lashon Gaither: Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, and Possession of a Firearm by a

                             Felon.

Terry Barringer: Four Counts of Distribution, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

Each charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, and Distribution of Cocaine carries a maximum term of 20 years in prison, and 1,000,000.00 dollars fine per count.

The U.S. Attorney Murray in the press release thanked the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office for the handling of the investigation which led to the federal charges. The Iredell County District Attorney Sarah M. Kirkman also received thanks for the coordination and support of the PSN initiative. These cases have been brought as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), the U.S. Justice Department’s program to reduce violent crime.
