[ARCHIVED] Statesville man charged for possession of Heroin.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Wednesday, September 18, 2019 Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit responded to 318 Harrill Street in Statesville to assist North Carolina Probation, and Parole with a warrantless probation search.

While assisting with this search, the Deputies located heroin along with several plastic bags and a set of digital scale. Once the items were located, the resident, and probationer Joshua Lynn Sylvester was arrested.

Sylvester was transported to the Iredell County Detention where he was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance (Heroin), and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sylvester was taken before Magistrate D. Sanders who issued a 15,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges. Sylvester was also served on an additional warrant for Felony Probation Violation by the North Carolina Probation and Parole.

15,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.

Criminal history: Four Counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Felony Attempted Obtaining Property by False Pretense, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
