Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Saturday, August 24, 2019 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a larceny of jewelry, and a gun which had occurred at 189 Kendra Drive near Mooresville.
The victim advised the responding deputies, he had been selling property online, and had been corresponding with a female about purchasing some of the items. The female, and a male arrived at the home. The female asked if she could use the restroom and was allowed into the home and left unattended. She came out of the home and loaded a piece of furniture into her vehicle.
The victim soon noticed a jewelry box which had been gone through and then noticed a pistol was also missing. The female suspect was later identified as Ginger Marie Hall. The victim was able to describe the Hall along with a male who she was with, and the vehicle she had been riding in.
While the deputies were filing a report for the victim, a suspicious vehicle call was received at 167 Little Creek Road. The description was the same as the vehicle Hall had been in earlier. The responding deputy to this call was able to see in plain view a black pistol matching the description of the one reported stolen.
A search warrant for the vehicle was secured and the truck was searched. The pistol inside the truck was confirmed to be the stolen pistol. Several items of jewelry were also recovered along with cocaine, and various items of drug paraphernalia.
As the investigation continued, deputies received information on the location of Ginger Hall. They were able to set up in the area and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle she was in. Hall was taken into custody without incident.
Hall was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was charged with: Felony Larceny of a Firearm, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Misdemeanor larceny, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for the use of a Control Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Clonazepam), and Two Counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hall was taken before Magistrate J. Hollar who issued a 60,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges
Ginger Marie Hall is currently on post release supervision, and active probation.
