Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, August 1, 2019 investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit with assistance from deputies with the Patrol Division, and Criminal Investigations, executed a search warrant at Building 123, Apt. F on Michigan Drive in Mooresville.
Narcotics Investigators received information about Christopher Zamarripa distributing Marijuana “Wax” in the Mooresville/ Lake Norman area. Investigators conducted surveillance Zamarripa, and where they were able to confirm the information. During the month of July, Narcotics Investigators were able to purchase approximately 64 grams of “Wax” with a value estimated at $1,600.00 from Zamarripa.
During the search of his residence investigators also located an additional approximate 74 grams of “Wax” with an estimated value of $1850.00.
Sheriff Campbell said “This type of cannabis/marijuana wax is one of the most sought-after concentrates due to the highest quality versions contain a THC content that’s equivalent to 15-20 marijuana cigarettes. While there are marijuana plant strains available with a THC content up to 30 percent, many of these wax concentrates contain over 90 percent THC.
Zamarripa was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Four Felony Counts of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Three Felony Counts of Sell or Distribute Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell or Use Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. ZAMARRIPA was taken before Magistrate D. Chambers who issued a 50,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
