Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, July 6, 2019 Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team got out with a black Mercedes sedan which appeared to be stranded on the side of the road on Interstate 40 West bound at the 151 Mile Marker.
Deputies approached and spoke with the driver and three other occupants in the vehicle. All four people said they were from South Carolina traveling to Tennessee. However while speaking further with the four, they gave a variety of different stories as to their reasons for traveling to Tennessee.
Deputies asked for, and were given consent by the driver to search the vehicle. As a result of the search Deputies were able to locate, and seize 43.4 grams of suspected heroin and cocaine as well as 32 grams of MDMA along with 433.00 dollars in US Currency which was in the possession of Phillip Daniel Hills.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered Glenn Fitzgerald Skinner III, had an outstanding Order for Arrest on a True Bill of Indictment for Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon, and Assault by Pointing a Firearm.
Hills, and Skinner were both arrested on scene, they were transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. Phillip Daniel Hills was charged with: Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession of Heroin, Felony Trafficking MDMA, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance. Magistrate T. Thompson was issued a 250,000.00 secured bond.
Glenn Fitzgerald Skinner III, was served with the Order for Arrest and received a 10,000.00 dollar secured bond from Magistrate T. Thompson.
