Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on July 7th 2015 at 1537 hours deputies responded out to 833 Allen Creek Rd Statesville NC in reference to a subject with a gun shooting at his neighbors. Upon arrival deputies went to the suspect’s residence but were unable to locate the suspect. Deputies then went to the victim’s residence located 803 Allen Creek road to complete the investigation. After deputies had completed their investigation it was found that Elton Moore had pointed some type of long riffle at the victims and the Victim’s residence and fired several times.
Deputies also located a place in an exterior wall that appeared to be where a bullet had struck. Deputy Weston Parks went to the Iredell County Magistrates Office and took out warrants on Elton John for Assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling.
On 07-19-2015 deputies returned out to 833 Allen Creek Rd where the located Elton Moore and took him into custody. Elton was taken before the Iredell County Magistrate and placed under a $5000.00 Secure bond.
