[ARCHIVED] Iredell man charged with Statutory Rape

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday January 21, 2019 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning a sexual assault which occurred in 2016. The report indicated Caleb Wayne Meadows was the suspect in sexually assaulting a juvenile.

The investigation was assigned to Detective Patrick Dixson of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit. While victim was being interviewed she was able to disclose several incidents where she was sexually assaulted by the suspect. Additional witnesses were interviewed, social media accounts were searched, and other evidence was gathered.

Based upon all the evidence gathered during this investigation, Caleb Wayne Meadows was arrested on Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was charged with two counts of Felony First Degree Statutory Rape, along with two counts of Felony First Degree Statutory Sexual Offense.

Meadows was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was issued a 100,000.00 dollar secured bond by Magistrate M. Nethken.
