The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office will offer a FREE TRAINING COURSE, "Civilian Response to Active Shooter".
In light of recent events such as the mass shootings in Aurora, Illinois, the Orland Park Mall, and near Penn State University, where multiple innocent people were killed or wounded. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office wants you to be as prepared as possible, and know what actions to take if you are confronted with a similar situation. We want to be prepared, and proactive rather than reactive in giving you this information.
This class will cover, What is an Active Shooter? What actions to take if confronted by an Active Shooter, What actions to take when law enforcement arrives on the scene of an active shooter, Indicators for violence before the incident, What steps to take to prepare for an active shooter situation.
We will then cover North Carolina’s Concealed Carry Laws and have time for questions.
The class will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 at the Iredell County Agriculture Extension Building located at 444 Bristol Drive, Statesville. Class will run from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm.
