[ARCHIVED] Iredell County man charged with pulling a gun at local store.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a situation in which a suspect had pulled a weapon on a person at Sharon’s Discount Flea Market located at 560 Turnersburg Highway.

After arriving on scene, the deputies located the victim and several witnesses. Deputies learned the suspect in this case, Christopher Gage Handy, had been banned from the location on a previous date.

Handy came back to the business and was confronted by an employee, Handy then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the worker before leaving the business.

Deputies and detectives located Christopher Handy a short time later, he was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Handy was charged with Misdemeanor Assault by Pointing a Gun, and Misdemeanor Second Degree Trespassing. Handy was also served with an outstanding Order for Arrest for Failure to Appear in Court.  Magistrate S. Watkins issued Handy an 8,000.00 dollar secured bond.

 Criminal history: Two Counts of Misdemeanor Larceny, Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property.
