Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office went to 289 Trinity Road to make an attempt to Child Support Warrants on Tralaina Mognet. While looking for Mognet, they saw what they believed to be ingredients and containers which were being used to manufacture methamphetamine from their training and experience.
The deputies secured the area and called for assistance at the location from investigators with the Narcotics Investigation Unit. Investigators arrived and verified the items had been and were still being used to make methamphetamine. A search warrant was obtained along with witnesses statements.
Narcotics Investigators, who are certified in clandestine lab safety, collected the items as evidence.
As a result of this investigation, Jason Craig Connolly and Tralania Mognet were arrested and charged with Two Counts of Felony Manufacture Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. The two suspects were taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where Magistrate S. Watkins issued Connolly a 400,000.00 dollar secured bond and Mognet a 125,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
