[ARCHIVED] Florida man charged with robbery after incident at rest area.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Saturday December 15, 2018 deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5756 North Interstate77, (Rest Area), in reference to a reported larceny.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victim in this case and learned, when she came out of the restroom she saw a silver Dodge pickup parked in front of the building with her family’s bicycles on a trailer.

The victim said she ran outside and stood in front of the truck to get driver to stop. She then told her two sons to get the bicycles off of the trailer. She then said the driver got out of the pickup, came up to her and hit her in the face. The driver then got back into the truck and drove away.

A description of the vehicle was given out to surrounding law enforcement agencies.  A short time later the vehicle was spotted on Interstate 77 South in southern Iredell County.  Deputy C. After further investigation, Seget was arrested and taken to the Iredell Detention Center. Marko Anthony Seget was charged with one count of Felony Common Law Robbery. Magistrate R. Imes issued a 50,000.00 dollar secured bond in this matter.
