[ARCHIVED] Two suspects arrested in Stony Point after search warrant executed

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated:  An investigation involving the combined efforts of several divisions within the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office ended Friday August 24, 2018 with the execution of Search Warrant at 119 Dessie Lane in Stony Point.

Two suspects, Scottie Wayne Pharr and Jody Gene Johnson, were arrested as a result of these efforts to target repeat offenders in the community.

Sheriff Campbell stated several complaints about a high volume of traffic frequenting the home at 119 Dessie Lane had been received from community members.  The information was forwarded this to the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team, who were familiar with the subjects living at the residence from prior arrest.

ACE Team Deputies began actively pursuing leads into this complaint and received assistance from the Narcotics Investigations Division. After several hours of surveillance purchases of methamphetamine were made at the home. A search warrant was issued and executed by Narcotics Detectives along with other deputies from the sheriff’s office. 

During the search Scottie Wayne Pharr, who is a repeat offender and convicted felon, was located in the home and found to be in possession of two firearms, methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Also discovered in was Jody Gene Johnson who was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Both subjects were transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. Scottie Wayne Pharr was charged with; Felony Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, and Felony Maintain a Dwelling or Place to Sell Controlled Substance. Scottie Pharr was given a 20,000.00 dollar secured bond by Magistrate D. Sanders.

 Jody Gene Johnson was charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and received a 500.00 dollar secured bond from Magistrate D. Sanders.
