Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Sunday April 8, 2018 deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office were working security, a rodeo, which was being held at the Van Hoy’s Campground in Harmony where they noticed three males near a wooded area exhibiting suspicious behavior.
The deputies walked up to the three men and started questioning them about why they were in this particular area of the campground. While speaking with these man, they became evasive in their answers. The deputies conducted pat down searches of the men and located drugs and drug paraphernalia on the three men.
In all, deputies seized 10 baggies containing cocaine packaged to sell, and 3 baggies containing methamphetamine packaged to sell. All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where they were charged with the following:
Juan German Vazquez-Pineda was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine), Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pineda was placed under a 25,000.00 secure bond by Magistrate P. Tutterow
Juan Jose Alarado Ibarra was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ibarra was placed under a 5,000.00 secure bond by Magistrate P. Tutterow.
Rufino Iturbe Jimenez was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Jimenez was placed under a $20,000.00 secured bond by Magistrate P. Tutterow.
