[ARCHIVED] Statesville man arrested on multiple sex offense warrants.


Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: A report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to possible sexual assault involving a 15 year old, on Friday November 17, 2017.  The victim said the assaults occurred between October 2017 and November 17, 2017.

The case was assigned to Detective Sergeant Jason Lowrance of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit for further investigation. During the course of the investigation the victim was interviewed and identified Colby Eugene Duncan as the suspect in these matters. Based on interviews, statements and evidence gathered throughout the investigation, investigators were able to obtain multiple felony warrants on Colby Eugene Duncan. Duncan was arrested on Tuesday January 30, 2018 without incident.

Duncan was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where the following Felony Arrest Warrants were served on him: Four Counts of Felony Statutory Rape of a Child and Two Counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a Child.  Colby Duncan was given a 100,000.00 secured bond from Magistrate Daniel Chambers. 

This investigation is on going at this time.
