Sheriff Darren Campbell stated On Wednesday December 13, 2017, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a breaking and entering to a residence located on Quite Cove Road, Mooresville.

The victim was able to provide the investigators with a video which shows a black Ford Fusion pull into the driveway and a white female with brown hair exit the vehicle and approach the front door. The female rings the doorbell and waits. Thirty seconds pass then the female attempts to open the front door but it was locked so she rang the doorbell again and looks through the door window. When no one answers, the female walks to the side of the house and makes entry into the house through an unlocked window. She is then seen on camera again getting into her vehicle and driving towards Highway 150.

On Saturday December 16, 2017 another report was filed with the sheriff’s office in reference to a breaking and entering at residence located just four houses down from residence where the initial report on Trollingwood Lane Mooresville was made. The victim contacted the sheriff’s office after hearing about the incident on Quite Cove Road and stated it appeared his residence was also broken into on December 12th. Neighbors of the victim on Trollingwood were able to provide investigators video camera footage from their Ring Doorbell camera which showed the same female, in the same Ford Fusion pull into this victim’s driveway, approach the front door and when no one answered, make entry to the residence through an open garage door.

Upon further review of the video footage provided by the victim on Quite Cove, investigators were able to see the suspect vehicle leave the Trollingwood residence before pulling into the driveway on Quite Cove. At the time of the reports no items were reported stolen but was later learned that an unknown amount of a prescription medication were stolen from the residence on Quite Cove.

Photos of the suspect and suspect vehicle were posted on the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page were it received over 1,300 shares. Investigators received several citizen tips about the identity of the suspect and were able to identify the suspect as a Jennifer Jullian McGrady Strickland of Whitewater Drive Charlotte.

After speaking with several citizens who know Jennifer Strickland, investigators verified she did drive a 2015 black in color Ford Fusion. Based upon evidence gathered in these cases Jennifer McGrady Strickland was charged with two counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, and One Count of Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering. Jennifer McGrady Strickland was arrested on Thursday December 28, 2017 transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and was given a $10,000 Secure Bond.
