Sheriff Darren E. Campbell stated: On Tuesday December 19, 2017 at approximately 9:16, 911 Communications received a call for service at 131 Picwyck Drive in Mooresville in reference to loud arguing going on at or near this location.
When deputies arrived at 131 Picwyck Drive they could hear loud voices and cursing coming from inside the home. While approaching the home the garage door opened and several individuals exited. They were approached by Karma Ramerez. She started yelling and cursing at the deputies. They attempted to get Ramerez to calm down but she would not. She told them to get off her property because she did not call them, she then threatened to kill them.
Ramerez was taken into custody and while being transported to the Iredell County Detention Center she was kicking in the back of the patrol car and broke one of the in-car cameras. At the Magistrates Office she again became aggressive kicking one of the deputies in his leg and biting at another.
Karma Margarita Ramerez was charged with following: Two Counts of Assault on a Public Officer, Resist, Obstruct and Delay of a Public Officer, Communicating Threats and Damage to Property (300.00 dollar in-car surveillance camera).
Ramerez was placed under 15,500.00 Dollars Secured Bond.
