Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on December 7, 2017 Lieutenant C.L. Stone of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 model Kia on Connector Road in Mooresville after observing a traffic violation. Stone spoke to the driver, Christopher Morrow, 33, of Sherrills Ford and advised him of the violation. After learning that Morrow did not have a valid driver’s license, Stone asked him to exit the vehicle and sit in the front passenger seat of his patrol car. While issuing Morrow a citation, Stone discovered that the passenger, Nancy M. Henderson, 36, of Maiden had an unserved warrant. After placing Maiden under arrest for the warrant she was found to be in possession of Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia. Henderson also had hidden Morrow’s wallet in her pants. The wallet contained a Suboxone strip which Morrow could not provide a prescription for. The items were seized and Morrow was charged with possession of Suboxone and driving while license revoked. Henderson was charged with possession of Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia, as well as, the unserved warrant. Henderson and Morrow already had prior drug related charges.
