[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested for two counts of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Danielson Lee Nichols

     Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: Deputy John Adams and Deputy Brock Henderson with the Iredell County Sex Offender Unit, went out to 151 Quail Hill Dr. Mooresville to attempt to locate Danielson Nichols in reference to a warrant for Failure to Register. When the Deputies arrived Nichols took off running from the residence away from Deputies. A perimeter was set up in the area with the assistance of detectives and other deputies. After a short search of the area Nichols surrendered without incident.

Danielson Nichols was charged with two counts of Failure to Register, Resisting a Public Officer, and Violation of Pretrial Release Order. His was given a $30,000 secured bond. Danielson Nichols was placed on the registry in 2016 for a conviction of Indecent Liberties with a Minor

Nichols had pending charges of Habitual Misdemeanor Assault, Assault on a Female,
and Probation Violation.

Prior convictions include: Simple Affray, Simple Worthless Check (two counts), Larceny (two counts), Injury to Person Property, Simple Assault (two counts), Communicating Threats, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts), Second Degree Trespass (two counts), Possession of Marijuana up to ½ oz. (two counts), Cruelty to Animals, Consume Alcohol by 19/20, Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell and Deliver Schedule I Control Substance.
