Sheriff Darren E. Campbell stated:  Four suspects have been taken into custody in the second round of arrests stemming from “Operation Southbound” conducted by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Unit.

 These suspects were identified through surveillance operations which were conducted over the course of several months in the City of Mooresville and the surrounding area by members of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Based on surveillance operations and other intelligence gathering activities, undercover investigators were able to target and make hand to hand purchases of illegal drugs from these individuals. This operation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated in the future.

Through ongoing operations like this one and others like it, we want the community to know we are actively responding to their complaints and we are pursuing these drug dealers. And make no mistake we want the dealers to know we are out there and we are watching and listening to the community.
