[ARCHIVED] SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR FAIL TO NOTIFY CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Hunter Gaither

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on August 15, 2017 Deputy David Price of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit was attempting to verify an address on Mr. Hunter Gaither, a registered sex offender. Deputy Price had been to the residence on several occasions at different times of the day and had been unable to locate Mr. Gaither. Deputy Price noticed the house looked like no one had been living there on a regular basis. After conducting his investigation as to the whereabouts of Gaither, Deputy Price determined there was probable cause to charge Mr. Gaither with failing to notify change of address.

On September 22, 2017 Hunter Gaither surrendered himself at the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to these charges. He was taken before Magistrate Thompson and given a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Hunter Gaither was placed on the Sex Offender Registry for an out of state conviction.
