Sheriff Darren Campbell stated
On July 18th, 2017 Deputies responded to 111 Bunny Lane where a subject was located on security camera breaking into an outbuilding on the property and removing items. When Deputies arrived they encountered a black male later identified as Joshua Winfield Drummond. Property that was stolen from the victim at 111 Bunny Lane was located in the bushes in front of Drummond’s residence. Detectives were called to process the scene and to further investigate the matter. A search warrant was used to gain access to Drummond’s residence. Several more items of evidence was located in Drummond’s residence. Drummond had initially given Deputies a fake name. After a thorough investigation and interview with Drummond, his real name was revealed. All stolen property was recovered and given back to the victim.
A check of Drummond’s information found that he was wanted out of South Carolina for attempted homicide. Drummond’s history shows that he has an extensive history of attempted robbery, armed robbery, and other violent crimes.
Drummond is being charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, giving fictitious information to an officer, and being charged on a fugitive warrant.
Drummond is under a $750,000 secured bond and a $10,000 secured bond.
