Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on April 7, 2017 a report was filed concerning a CyberTip from the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children concerning a suspect containing possible Child Pornography files in an ICloud type account.   The investigation was turned over to Detectives in the Iredell County Special Victim’s Unit.  During the course of the investigation it was discovered that the files were images of child pornography and a search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s ICloud account. The investigation lead to several files of Child Pornography being located on the suspect’s cell phone. 

Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, warrants were obtained for Blaine T. Nesbit’s arrest.  He was charged with 8 counts of Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  Blaine was arrested on May 25, 2017 where Blaine received a 15,000.00 secure bond.
