Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on April 15, 2017 deputies responded to the scene of a domestic dispute located on Mott Road. Stacey Keaton came to the residence and got into a verbal altercation with her estranged husband and his fiancé. Mrs. Keaton was asked to leave the residence several times before being locked out the door. Mrs. Keaton then kicked open the door and assaulted the victim while trying to gain entry into the home to get to her child. Mrs. Keaton had to be physically removed from the residence. Detective Sgt. Katie Harwell with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit was assigned to follow up on the incident. After speaking to the victim and witnesses in this incident it was discovered that Mrs. Keaton had also assaulted the three other children that were inside the home at the time of the incident.
On April 18, 2017, Mrs. Keaton was arrested and given a $2500.00 unsecure bond.
