Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on Monday the 10th Day of April, 2017 Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division received information that Tracy Ann Paulson, who was wanted on two probation violations, was going to be in the area of 1505 Salisbury Hwy Statesville on this date. Detectives were able to make contact with Paulson at the address along with Allen Franklin Morrison. Paulson was asked to get out of the vehicle due to the fact that there were warrants out against her. Morrison was questioned about his involvement with Paulson, and checked for outstanding warrants. Paulson was asked to remove her purse from the vehicle, and it was discovered that she had a prescription pill bottle in her purse with Morrison’s name on the bottle. Inside the prescription pill bottle Detectives found approximately 2.0 grams of crack cocaine and two glass pipes. Paulson insisted that Morrison placed the pill bottle in her purse. Detectives then asked Morrison to step out of the vehicle in reference to a search. Detectives then found a metal pipe in a Newport Cigarette box in the driver’s side door panel that appeared to have been used to smoke crack cocaine.
Morrison and Paulson were both arrested on scene and transported to the Iredell County Jail.
Allen Franklin Morrison was taken before the Iredell County Magistrate and criminally charged with one count of Possession of Cocaine, and one count of Possession of Paraphernalia. Morrison was given a $10,000.00 secured bond.
Tracy Ann Paulson was taken before the Iredell County Magistrate and criminally charged with two counts of Felony Probation Violation. Paulson was given a $40,000.00 secured bond. Additional charges are likely against Paulson.
