Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on Friday, December 2, 2016, Iredell County Probation/Parole went to 501 Russell Street Apartment 2 Statesville, NC to serve a parole warrant on Clarence O’Brien Heller. While attempting to serve Heller with the parole warrant he ran out the front door of the apartment and ran into nearby woods.  The electronic monitoring bracelet was pinged to determine its location and was located in a trash can next to where Heller had ran into the woods. A warrant was then secured on Heller for Interference with an Electric Monitoring Device.

Heller is currently on post release supervision from serving time for a Possession of Schedule II conviction. He was located and arrested on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Heller was given a $3,500.00 secured bond and a court date of January 20, 2017 on the Interference with an Electronic Monitoring Device charge.

Heller also had an outstanding warrant for child support and additional warrants from Probation/Parole that were served at the same time. Heller is currently confined at the Iredell County Jail under a $121, 283.00 bond.
