Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on 10/20/2016 Deputy David Price of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit attempted to verify a valid address for Emanuel Caldwell, a registered sex offender. Mr. Caldwell gave 619 Newbern Ave as his address of record. Deputy Price while checking this address, observed it was boarded up and no one was living there. Mr. Caldwell by law, has 3 business days to report any change of address and had failed to do so.
Deputy Price obtained warrants on Mr. Caldwell for failing to notify change of address by sex offender.

He was given a $5,000 unsecure bond and released.
