Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On October 14, 2016, Detective Sergeant Katy Harwell received information that Jermy Carl Lackey, 30, 116 Copper Creek Drive, Statesville, was in violation of pretrial release conditions from a domestic violence arrest. The pretrial release conditions had been in effect since April 2, 2016 for domestic violence charges that were still pending. These conditions are to stay in effect until the case has been tried and disposed of.
Det. Harwell verified that Lackey had been in contact with the victim on more than one occasion which is a violation of the conditions. On October 17, 2016, Det. Harwell took Lackey before Magistrate Imes who revoked Lackey’s bond from his April 2016 charges. Magistrate Imes also gave Lackey an additional bond of $200,000.00 for violation of pretrial release. Lackey’s bond is now $250,000.00 secured.
Lackey has the following cases currently pending in court: Communicating Threats (x2), Domestic Violence Protection Order Violation (x2), Harassing Phone Calls, Felony Stalking, Second Degree Kidnapping, Assault by Strangulation, Assault on a Female and Interfering with Emergency Communications.
