Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on 09/15/2016 Deputy David Price of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit received information Mr. Bennie Wiles, a registered sex offender, was not staying at his address of record. Deputy Price learned Mr. Wiles could possibly be staying at 185 River Run Rd. with his girlfriend. Mr. Wiles was transported to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Detention Center and taken before Magistrate Thompson. Bond was set at $10,000.00 secured. Mr. Wiles is being detained at the Iredell County Detention Center until such time that bond is made or justice is satisfied in this matter.
