[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested for failing to Notify Change of Address

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On June 10, 2016 Deputy David Price of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit attempted to verify a valid address for Jermain Lamont Mayfield, a registered sex offender. Mayfield is registered at 131 Long Island Road, Statesville, NC. After being unsuccessful in locating Mayfield after multiple attempts over an extended period of time, Price obtained a warrant for Jermaine Mayfield for one count of Failing to Notify Change of Address.
On June 14, 2016, Mayfield was located, arrested, and taken before a magistrate. He was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
Mayfield was convicted of Felony 1st Degree Burglary and First Degree Sex Offense in Iredell County in 1987.
