Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on May 10, 2016 Deputy Craig Bess received a complaint that Larry Terry Rudisill, 69, of 951 Barracuda Avenue, Statesville, had been frequently seen with a camera attached to his coat filming people at 2012 Simonton Rd. Statesville, N.C. 28625. That address is the Statesville Soccer Complex and Park. Deputy Bess investigated the information he had received and discovered Rudisill had pending charges of indecent liberties with a child and first degree sex offense with a child in Iredell County Superior Court.
A bond modification hearing was held in Iredell County Superior Court on May 9, 2016 and Rudisill’s bond had been modified to include the condition he was not allowed to be on any park premises with any type of recording device on his person.
On May 13, 2016 Deputy Bess received a telephone call from witnesses that Rudisill was at the Statesville Soccer Complex. Deputies responded to the park, located Larry Rudisill, and observed he had a video recording device attached to the handle bars of his scooter.
Deputy Bess confirmed the violation of the court order and Rudisill was placed under arrest on May 13th, 2016 for violating his bond conditions.
Rudisill was taken before the Magistrate and received no bond. Rudisill has one pending charge of Felony First Degree Sex Offense with a Child, 8 pending charges of Felony Indecent Liberties with a child, and 8 pending charges of Felony Dissemination of Obscenity stemming from a 2014 Sheriff’s Office investigation.
