We are pleased to announce that Blair Richey has been named Iredell County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director. Blair has served in an interim role as EMS Director since September 2015. She has the proven skill sets needed to continue to prepare us for the next phase of growth in Iredell County.

Blair began her EMS career with Cabarrus County in 2003. She began serving Iredell County in 2012 and moved to the position of Assistant Director of the EMS Specialty Services Division in 2014. Over the past year, Blair has been instrumental in working with the County in its preparation to move EMS operations to the new Public Safety Facility being planned on Bristol Drive in Statesville.

Blair’s experience in planning, budgeting and vast knowledge of emergency medical services will assist the County to prepare for the challenges of the future. Blair completed the UNC Chapel Hill - School of Government’s Municipal and County Administration Program in 2016. Blair assumes her permanent role as EMS Director on April 22nd . Please join me in welcoming Blair to this new chapter in her career, as you see her out visiting our emergency service agencies, both external and internal to Iredell County government.
