Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On April 15th 2016 at 10:29 AM deputies respond to 149 Ken Lane, in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Lieutenant Dwayne Christian and Deputy Kevin Hall spoke to Amy Nicole Shoemaker (victim). Mrs. Shoemaker stated that she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, Timothy Allen Helms (suspect). The altercation turned physical and Miss Shoemaker was assaulted and was forced to stay inside the residence at 149 Ken Lane, against her will.
Deputy Hall charged Timothy Helms with Assault by strangulation, 2nd degree kidnapping, assault on a female and interfering with 911 communications. Once at the Magistrates Office, Magistrate Sanders issued a $1,000.00 bond on the interfering with 911 communications and on the other charges he received no bond, do to the domestic nature of the charges.
