Sheriff Darren Campbell states that on the 19th day of March 2016 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the address of 109 Labrador Dr. in Union Grove NC for a trespassing call.
When Deputies Weston Parks and David Golden Arrived on scene there were several subjects standing in the roadway in front of the residence of 109 Labrador Dr. The subjects in the road were Jared Corder, Israel Corder, Lance Corder of Statesville NC and Brittany Saunders of Taylorsville NC.
Deputies started their investigation into the trespassing call speaking with the subjects in the roadway. Deputies Parks and Golden went to the residence to speak with the reporting person Jordan Corder. After Deputies spoke to Jordan they learned that this incident was a family matter over martial property. Deputies went back to speak with the subjects in the road. At this time one of the subjects Jared Corder became hostile and aggressive towards Deputies. While Deputies were attempting to place Jared under arrest, Jared’s brother Israel Corder, also became aggressive towards deputies. Both suspects began to assault the deputies, grabbing one of the deputies and picking him up throwing him to the ground. After about 15 minutes Deputies Golden and Parks were able to gain control of the situation and place the two men in custody. Deputies, also arrested Lance Corder the Father of Jared and Israel, and a Brittany Saunders a girl friend of Jared’s for assault on law enforcement officer, and obstruct and delay. Both Deputies were treated by EMS and released at the scene with minor cuts and abrasions. The suspects were taken before a magistrate where they were charged and given the following bond amounts.
Jared Corder, is a convicted felon and is on probation at this time for Larceny and other misdemeanor charges. Was charged with Resisting Public Officer and Felony Assault on Law Enforcement Officer $40,000.00.
Israel Corder is out on bond for Assault with a deadly weapon on Law Enforcement Office from a different incident. Is charged with Resisting Public Officer and Felony Assault on Law Enforcement Officer $30,000.00 Secure Bond.
Brittany Saunders Resisting Public Officer $2,000.00 secure bond.
Lance Corder Resisting Public Officer and Misdemeanor Assault on Law Enforcement Officer $15,000.00 Secure Bond.
