Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: on 01/14/ 2016 at Deputy C. Neill received a burglar alarm call at Schumacher Homes on Alcove Rd. Deputy Neill arrived within minutes of the alarm coming in and found that one of the model homes had been broken into. Other County Deputies along with Mooresville PD responded to assist. During this time a green Ford Explorer was located parked near the business with James R. Speight intoxicated and passed out in the vehicle.
