Iredell County to Seek Recreational Needs Input
Statesville, NC – Iredell County Parks, Recreation and Facility Services Department announced today that they are revising their Comprehensive Recreation Master Plan, and will be seeking public input for recommendations for the future.
The last Comprehensive Recreation Master Plan was adopted in October, 2008. Since then, Iredell County has acquired a new facility and taken steps to develop a second. In order to be eligible for future grant funding, the existing master plan must be amended with this new information, as well as include a future needs assessment. Feedback and input from the community members about wants and needs is critical for future planning and park development.
Iredell County Parks and Recreation Department will host a public meeting on January 14, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Iredell Water Corporation, located at 571 Jennings Road, Statesville, NC 28625. The purpose of the meeting is to provide opportunity for all citizens, to make suggestions and share ideas about future parks and recreation needs in Iredell County. Everyone is welcome.
