[ARCHIVED] Two Suspects arrested after striking a business owner with a stolen vehicle, and fleeing the scene.

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: The owner of Parker Trucking Inc., on East Barkley Rd discovered a suspicious vehicle, a Dodge Caravan on the property of his business. When the owner confronted the individuals, the driver of the van attempted to leave and struck the owner knocking him to the ground.
The van then left the area before Deputies arrived. After arriving on scene Deputy C. Griffiths started speaking with the victim about the incident. During this time, while circulating the area Sgt. BA Marshall located the van on Interstate 77 at exit 45. It was then discovered that the van was stolen from Charlotte, NC. With the assistance of the NCSHP, two suspects a Michael Lamont Alexander, 43 years old, of McArthur Ave. Charlotte, NC, and Chuck Weldon Crank, 55 years old, of N. College St. Charlotte, NC were located walking beside the interstate. Deputy C Griffiths arrested both suspects and they were transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.
Both suspects were charged and received a $15,000 secured bond and are awaiting trial.
