Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On December 4th 2015 the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 126 Almond Rd. in reference to Assault on a Female. Deputy Irwin responded and spoke with the victim. The victim advised Deputy Irwin that while she was in a verbal argument with Michael Harrison he forcibly shoved her backwards. At the time she was holding their 2 year old son. The victim almost lost her footing and almost completely dropped their son but she was able to catch her son by his leg before he hit the ground.
The case was forwarded to Det. Sgt. Katie Harwell with the Special Victim’s Unit.
Det. Harwell further investigated the incident. After speaking with neighbors Det. Harwell located a witness who was at home at the time and saw the altercation take place.
Detective Harwell obtained warrants on Harrison for Assault on a Female and Assault on a Child Less Than 12 years old.
Harrison turned himself in on 12-18-2015 where he was later released on a $2,500.00 Unsecured bond.
