[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested Assault on Female, Fel. Interfere with Monitor Device, and Damage to State Property

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that Deputies received a call of a domestic assault on a female at 240 Friendship Road Statesville on December 4th, 2015 around 7:15 p.m. Deputies responded and learned that Larry Franklin Allison had got angry at his wife the victim who was attempting to leave the residence to go eat supper. Allison was upset because he was not able to leave the house due to being on a GPS Ankle Monitoring Device as part of his probation for a conviction of Domestic Assault on Female.
The victim reported that she was attempting to leave the home with a minor child when Allison made her return inside the house where he assaulted her and broke her finger nails by snatching her keys out of her hands. The victim told Allison that she was going to call 911 and he took the vehicle that belonged to them and left the residence. Deputies took out a warrant for the arrest of Larry Franklin Allison for Domestic Assault on Female.
On December 7th, 2015, Larry Franklin Allison was located and arrested on the outstanding warrant and received a $25,000.00 dollar secured bond. At the time of his arrest it was learned that Allison had cut of his ankle monitoring device.
Detectives assisted the probation officer in doing additional charges on Allison for Felony Interfering with a Monitor Device, Probation Violation, and Misdemeanor Damage to State Property for cutting off the monitoring device. Allison received an additional $25,000.00 dollar secured bond for these charges and has a pending court date in Statesville District Court.
Allison was on probation for a domestic assault on a female where he was convicted in District Court on October 19th, 2015. Allison was sentenced to a 60 day active sentence which was suspended for 12 months supervised probation. Allison had conditions of his probation to follow which included a curfew to be at home from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. Part of his probation conditions was to wear a GPS Ankle Monitoring Device as well.
